Sustainability at group level

Vendig is part of the Lagercrantz Group, a technology group whose business is based on close and long-term relationships with the aim of being a reliable partner. Lagercrantz sees sustainability and long-term perspective as crucial prerequisites for the business and strives for all subsidiaries to be responsible companies that add benefit to society.

Lagercrantz Group’s independent subsidiaries run their respective operations in a decentralised manner so that business decisions are made where the knowledge is greatest – close to customers and the market. This also applies to the sustainability work carried out in the subsidiaries, close to employees, customers, suppliers and the local communities where we operate.

Sustainability at Vendig

At company level, sustainability work is targeted, controlled and followed up through active work in the company. Vendig therefore has its own goals for the sustainability work, which consist of several dimensions.

Vendig and it’s employees have jointly selected three main areas within sustainability to work on in the long term. The first area is “good health and well-being for Vendig’s employees”. The area has a working group that carries out activities to inspire physical activity and good health.

The other two main areas Vendig will work on are areas that are in line with Vendig’s operations. Vendig has historically always chosen, and will continue to choose, to deliver products of the highest quality for long product  lifespan. It is within the first area which is ”Sustainable industry/production/consumption”, the second area we will work in is to “combat climate change & work for sustainable energy”.

The work for these two areas will be divided into projects and activities that are decided on each financial year. They can vary from year to year within each area, based on what is then perceived as priority. We choose projects so that we acquire more knowledge about sustainability in the long term.

More contributions

We sponsor several local sports clubs, including two teams in the elite, Skara HF Ladies (handball) and Leksands IF Elitserien in hockey.

We support Save the Children, Giving People and the Children’s Diabetes Fund every year. Just because we think it is important.
